Building Survey Grade I Listed House

Survey: Building survey undertaken on a grade I listed house dating back to the 14th century

This survey was particularly interesting as the property appears in Pevsner’s Buildings of England.

A principal feature of the House is the two storey hall with late Medieval Hammerbeam roof. The hall is entered through an attractive two storey late medieval porch.

The present layout of the majority of the building dates from around 1720 including impressive staircase and Venetian window.

Another feature of this building was the complex layout of the roof structure there being a number of different pitched roof sections over the building separated by a number of valley gutters.
